Teams to consist of the following 3 or 4 rider
& horse/pony combinations. Best three scores to count.
Section a – novice combination of horse/pony &
rider with £0 B.S.J.A. winnings
Section b – novice combination of horse/pony &
rider with £0 B.S.J.A. winnings
Section c – open to any combination of horse/pony
& rider
Section d – open to any combination of horse/pony
& rider
Riders in sections a and b will jump one following the
other in posted order – height of fences approx. 2ft6.
Riders in sections c and d will then jump one
following the other in posted order – height of fences approx. 3ft.
One nominated open team member (section c or d) only
will jump off to decide on the winning team.
This will be over a shortened, raised course (3ft3
approx.)
The first rounds will be timed and used if equality
for lower placings.
To enable teams to complete with a score: Eliminated
competitors will have 20 penalties added to the worst total of faults scored by
a competitor in the first round of their section of the competition.
Entry fee £50 per team.

timed. Faults will be awarded in accordance with current B.S.J.A. rules.
The three best rounds will
be added together for final score.
The winners will be the
team with the least faults in the fastest time.
Entry fee £50 per team.
It is a condition of entry that teams will help with
stewarding/arena party on a rota system,
which will be posted at the collecting ring on
the day.
Rules:
1. Teams must consist of 3 or 4 different rider & horse/pony combinations.
2. Horses/ponies
must be 4 years of age or over.
3. Restrictions in
the novice team sections must be strictly adhered to.
4. Rosettes will
be awarded to the first 6 teams in classes and a perpetual trophy will be
awarded to the winning teams.
5. Individual
clear round rosettes will be awarded to all team members jumping clear in their
first rounds in the team competitions.
6. The competition
will be judged under B.S.J.A. rules, except that competitors will be eliminated
after the 3rd refusal.
7. Objections must
be made in writing with a deposit of £20 within 30 minutes of the incident occurring.
8. Save for the
death or personal injury caused by negligence of the organizers or anyone for
whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which
these rules apply, nor the British Horse Society, nor any agent, employee or
representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss,
damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land or any
other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach
of contract or in any other way whatsoever.
9. The closing
date for entries shall be Monday 2nd November 2009.

12. Teams will be required to help with
stewarding and arena party duties. A rota will be drawn up outside
competitors’ jumping times to allow for this.
14. The indoor
warm up is strictly for the next 8 competitors warming up. The warm up tannoy
will be in operation throughout the competition. All arenas are to be kept
muck-free at all times. Car parking is adequate and will be stewarded, please
follow parking instructions carefully. Horseboxes must absolutely not be mucked
out in the car park and horse/ponies must not be left tied-up and unattended
outside lorries or trailers.
15. The course for
class 1 will be available for walking from 8.30a.m. This class will start
promptly at 9.00a.m. There will be a drawn order for all classes. Riders must
be ready to jump or may risk elimination.
