RULES & CONDITIONS

 

  1. Classes may be limited.
  2. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse any entry without giving any reason or to limit the number of entries.
  3. Telephone entries or entries received without the appropriate fee WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  4. Practice fences will be flagged and must be jumped in the correct direction.
  5. The judges decision will be final
  6. In the event of insufficient starters, lower prizes will be withheld in accordance with BSJA rule 76.6
  7. In accordance with BSJA rule 82.21, no member shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner lessee, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any show jumping competition without taking adequate precaution to ensure other members and members of the public are not at risk of injury.
  8. Objections must be made in writing to the secretary within 30 minutes of any incident, together with a deposit of £50.  The deposit will be repaid if the objection is sustained.
  9. The Organisers, and Eaglesfield Equestrian Events Ltd.,  will not accept any liability for accidents, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, grooms, riders, or any property owned by them.  It is a condition of any entry that exhibitors agree to indemnify the Organisers/Eaglesfield Equestrian Events Ltd.,  against any legal action that may arise from any cause whatsoever connected with this event.
  10. A standard of faults may be introduced in any class, necessitating retirement.
  11. Riding hats must be worn at all times when mounted and comply with BSJA rule 101.3 and 101.4.
  12. The event will run strictly in accordance with BSJA rules.
  13. Prizewinners please note that rule 101.7 and 202.2 may be enforced.
  14. The Organisers reserve the right to change the classification of any class if they deem it advisable.
  15. Entries are confined to registered horses/ponies to be ridden in accordance with BSJA rule 79.

 

Safety:  The Organisers of the show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.  For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all Officials and Stewards.
